The carrot patch at the 78th Street Heritage Farm in Clark County was donated to CCFB by Clark County in 2007 as a way to grow produce to supplement the dried and packaged foods that are donated to the food bank. Through his charm and guile, Bill Coleman, a member of
the Clark County Food Bank’s Board of Directors, has led three successful growing seasons. This is a golden opportunity to unite the community with locally grown produce to feed Clark County’s hungry. We will be hosting volunteer work days for groups and individuals throughout the summer to plant, maintain and harvest the carrot patch.
